We began planning our house when we were in Rochester for our transplant. We had been looking at designs way before that, but our final decisions were made when we were recovering. I guess that is what happens when you are spending every minute of the day together!

The start of the house was planned for the first week in August and to our surprise we began before we were completely ready... I'm not sure if we would have been ready anyway.

Flooring 11.27.12

Flooring is going in:

Sometimes the holiday's just do not fall at the right time... Okay Thanksgiving was great for us, but with a four day weekend we were on hold with our flooring.  On a great note, we were able to move a lot of stuff... Okay I realized that we (I) have collected a lot of "Stuff" over the 9 years that we have been in our trailer.

Here are some updated photos of our flooring.  We are kind of at a stand still waiting on our cabinets.

 Master Bathroom Tile

 Entry Way tile and Woodwork

The bottom piece of river rock is where we have sealed it so that is the true color.

Ryan put in one of the lights that are on the top of the stairs (picture just doesn't help it out.)

Utility room cabinet and sink are put into place, now just to get the uppers installed.

Weekend Update 11.17.12

Siding Complete!!!

Well one of our biggest tasks is completed and I feel a real relief as the siding is completely on the house.  Ryan keeps informing me that this may be a never ending project with the caulking of the corners on the high ends left.  In my mind it looks finished, I think I'll keep thinking that way.  One thing I can check off of my list.

Ryan also go our driveway gravel all set up for the winter with our piece of concrete now in place by the garage, each are big steps in my mind.  Last of the sheetrock to return is loaded and the flooring is started today.  I would love to say that I am seeing the end, but I think it is more like I am seeing more and more work....

Cabinets Came in with a few minor issues that will be fixed soon so that stress is hopefully over.  Thanks to John for coming over and helping place them, the kitchen is staring to look like a kitchen.  I would love to put the appliances in, but need to have the flooring in before we set them into place.

Sheryl and Arlan were painting our loft floor, we may be living in the loft until all the flooring is complete.  I felt really bad when they ask if we need help and we give them some of the worst tasks to take on... Scrapping the floor, sweeping, vacuuming, washing, and painting.  Thankfully they were so helpful that we got a lot more done than ever expected for the weekend.  Plus I got to sleep in on Sunday....  Ryan was busy at 4:00am while I slept until 10:30am.

Lighting 11.15.12

Lighting is starting to be put into the house;

Some of the lighting that can be put into the house is put in, while other area's will have to wait until cabinets, mirrors and other things are installed.  Or until the rest of the lighting come in.  I am starting to love things that are on back-order.... :)

Car in in the Garage 11.14.12

Well as the Snow is on the ground, my car has now officially moved into the garage...  And I love it!

The only bad thing that I have found out is Ryan's snow mobile trailer also fits into the garage... The wheels were turning last night as he was planning all the things that he will be able to do with the garage.  Thaw out the snowmobiles, fish houses, ranger... the list kept going on and on...  I'm going to have to hide my remote!  :)

Lots of room behind, I definitely will have no issues with unloading the shopping bags!

House Pics 11.4.12

Pictures of the house and the colors after Roger Painted.

We have to give a huge Thank You to Uncle Roger... Words just can not explain how wonder it was to have such a great painter come into our house and complete all our painting within the week.  This would have taken me months...  Jacky was also a wonderful help on picking out our colors it's is definitely a project that is hard to do without a little help from others.  Thank God for Family!

This week's activities include... Flooring coming in on 11.13.12, electrician finishing up with the floor heat and some more of the lighting, plumber hooking up the toilets, shower and hopefully putting the tub into the master bath.
